Tonbridge School is one of the leading boys’ boarding schools in the country. Founded in 1553, the school now occupies an extensive site of approx 150 acres in Tonbridge.
As part of the refurbishment to the Sixth Form centre, we were asked to provide architectural ironmongery that was durable and contemporary, yet still in keeping with the period style of the nineteenth-century school buildings.
We proposed products in Satin Stainless Steel, including lever handles, oval cylinder escutcheons, hinges, kickplates and fire seals. The final result is practical and attractive while preserving the unique visual style of the surrounding structure..
